Our Voices Were Heard on “Speak Up for America’s Food Day” 

“Speak Up For America’s Food Day” on October 27th was a great success. We spoke loud and clear to Congress. Now they know: we really need a market-based solution for our farms and our economy.

Here are just a few of the highlights:

• More than 600 new members join SAFE.

• Nearly 1,500 new individuals joined the SAFE Facebook community.

• More than 200 Members of Congress heard directly from SAFE members.

• More than 30 stories and interviews about SAFE were featured in online, radio, and television news and highlighted in blogs across the nation. Check out the SAFE Media Center for more.

We raised the stakes and turned up the volume on America's farm labor shortage crisis. But Congress still must ACT, which means SAFE members have more work to do. We can't wait a day longer and our economy can't afford a dollar less. Now is the time to follow up with Congress to make sure they are listening. Let's not waste any more time or any more of our most precious resource: food.
